En effet, l'opt-in pour l'utilisation de l'adresse e-mail ainsi que la validation de l'adresse e-mail sont à réaliser avant l'échange avec d'autres intervenants. Lorsqu'une adresse e-mail est échangée, l'expéditeur doit d'abord s'assurer avoir l'autorisation du propriétaire de l'adresse e-mail et que cette adresse e-mail soit valide. Il n'est donc pas nécessaire d'envoyer des champs supplémentaires actant cela.
