Formula A formula is the distinction an insurer makes within a guarantee to indicate the different variations of guarantee a policyholder can chose from. As a consequence it is impossible to underwrite a guarantee twice within the same contract with different formulas.
Guarantee Protection provided by insurance against losses caused by perils as defined in the policy. A guarantee can consist of subguarantees and/or covers. Stating premium is mandatory on the guarantee level.
Incident An event giving rise to one or more losses.
Index Figure showing the relative level of prices or wages compared with that of a previous date.
